Day 18

Today I overate a bit, with that second sweet potato after dinner.  I got more hungry than usual before lunch and dinner and I think it made me overeat at dinner.  The sweet potatoes were pretty small so it's no big deal.  I'm not sure I like sweet potatoes in my salad and I also prefer them baked in the oven to steamed in the microwave.   So I think I'll drop the sweet potatoes and save them for when I get back home.  My salads were same as yesterday.  Tomorrow we arrive at our destination and will have Whole Foods nearby all week so there will be no problem getting healthy food.

Here's a picture of me and my yummy salad at Great Basin National park:

How are you doing?

Barb- I actually live in Wallsburg, it is a tiny little town most people in Utah don't even know about. We live up in the mountains by Deer Creek Reservoir. It is so beautiful up here and we go hiking ALL the time in the summer! You would love the Uintah mountains, they are amazing.

I am amazed at how little my body wants to eat sometimes. I don't usually eat more than 1000 calories in a day so it's easy to get enough. It's hard not to get too much but I usually have to have a snack at 3pm because my lunches are so small.

I'm glad you are enjoying the mountains here, there is so much to see. Park City is a beautiful area for mountain biking if you get a chance it is up Parley's Canyon. I highly recommend going there.

I'm doing much better. I really appreciate everyone's comments on here about food addiction and going off the plan. They really gave me some hope and get-to-it-ness. It really wasn't too hard to get back on, thank goodness. My next goal is to try some of your microsalads. I have been eating lots of peaches, kale and garbanzo beans. Not necessarily in that order. Yummers!

Hi Tandi, I just looked up Wallsburg. That is really tucked away in the mountains Must be very nice!. Someday I hope to return and ride in Park City. I heard it was a good place after we already drove through it and down the mountains to SLC!

Livewell, Glad you are back on track!
