My breakfasts of late

Fruit and nuts:

Favorites were an orange, blueberries and nuts.  or grapefruit, blueberries, and nuts.  or bananas, blueberries and nuts.  or apple, blueberries, and nuts.   But I ran out of nuts today so I'll move on to something else for a while.

Hey...for addiction free eating...look at Protectivediet.com. Since I've been on it I haven't been tempted to stray off. However, you've been doing healthy eating longer than I have so what do I know? Anyway...I still peruse your blog!

do you have to pay to play?

There's a support group on facebook called protective diet living. You get 130 free recipes from her website at protective diet.com. She does have monthly live classes where you can continue to receive access to the recipes she comes up with. I've been a food addict my whole life and it wasn't until I started this that I've been able to stop overeating. Its a sugar, oil and nut free plant based plan based on Dr. Esselstyn and Dr. Mcdougall. Anyway, the support group is supportive enough on facebook that you wouldn't have to join the live classes although they are very helpful. You can ask her any questions you want and request her to make recipes. You would only have to access for a month to catch up on the old classes and recipes and maybe see if it is helpful. For me it has totally been worth the money and I've been plant based since the 1990s but haven't been able to quit my addictive eating til now. Anyway...hope this was a little bit helpful.

Hi, that is interesting. Do her recipes taste okay without salt? I avoid salt and some recipes that call for salt don't taste as good without it. Also does she use flour much? I avoid that as well. I've heard people rave about her on the McDougall forums (maybe you!) and elsewhere.

I think her recipes probably taste good without salt as others have mentioned that. I eat a little bit of salt myself. I've had less issues eating a little bit of salt and no fat than eating fat and cutting out salt. Crazy! She always has flour alternatives. I don't think she likes using flour herself. Her banana bread calls for flour or oatflour. I made it with oatflour and it was so good!
