I don't calorie count

In my last post I said I was counting calories or doing some form of portion control to keep myself from overeating.   Well I'm not anymore.  I'm just eating LOTRL and letting everything else fall where it falls.  I think I explained what LOTRL is in my last post.

There is nothing like January to realign myself with Fuhrman’s plan. I keep trying to stay on his diet, but I also go off it for long months at a time. How are you doing with it, all these years later? I hope you are weathering the pandemic ok. It was definitely smart of you to get in shape just before it hit.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for this blog, it has re-inspired me a bunch of times to get back on track. Happy New Year!

Best,
Deb

Well Hello Deb A! I don't remember you so if I should, I apologize. So nice to hear from you anyway. Should I start posting again? hmmm, might be kind of fun. I've explored all the WFPB programs as well as Bright Line eating over the years. I seem to be doing Fuhrman again. The only thing I disagree on with the WFPB experts is the suggestion that I can eat as much as I want as long as it's WFPB, or even low-calorie density. I prefer to portion control and include some nuts and lots of fruit and veggies and some beans and a little starch. so that's pretty much Fuhrman! Why do you think you go off Fuhrman? because of temptations of the processed foods? I fell prey to that several times this past Fall. Even though it's hard to stay away from them, it's easier to in some ways. or there are some people who find it easier to do Fuhrman 80% or 90% and just enjoy a little processed food and not feel guilty about it. is that an approach that would work for you?
