It has...I completed day 8 of the 6 week challenge. It has been going well. I am not sure where to post this, so I will do it here and at Dr Fuhrman Member Center. I have been very faithful to ETL. I find that I am not that hungry at dinner and have been eating less then. Every day I have had one serving of soup or stew with beans and veggies. Then big salads with come chopped up greens (like kale or chard as well as romaine) and chopped veggies on top. I have the 1 cup of beans on salads and in the soups/stew. I have had between 1 and 2 oz of nuts/seeds, but tending more to 1oz. My overall goal is to stabilize my weight loss and maintain. I intended to add starchy veggie/grains but have not really been hungry enough. I had corn in a chili that lasted several meals and I had some rice in lentil soup which I have 3 more servngs of for other days. I was tempted to begin down the binge path today - I missed bfast becuase I got a flat tire coming home from the Y. I was very hungry for lunch and was tempted when I was done to eat peanuts (which in this circumstance get me in trouble). I was so pleased. I decided to ride out the craving to see if it was really necessary...and then I wasn't super hungry at dinner even. So it was a huge victory for me. So 8 days accomplished and 4 weeks 6 days to go. I think I have stabilized at 115lbs on my 5'7" frame...we will see.<br />Thanks for the challenge. Hope you have a great trip!<br /><br />today I started day 3 of the Beck diet solution again as well as the 6 week challenge to help me get back into better habits all the way around. I ate sitting down today. <br /><br />I had peaches and pears with buckwheat for breakfast, big cabbage salad for lunch with kidney beans and homemade cashew ginger dressing that was amazing! Then I had a small snack of a slice of peach, almonds and sunflower seeds and dinner was an amazing lentil, vegetable, tofu, rice in orange curry sauce....YUM!<br /><br />Still not making desserts at night! Yay! I am a...Hi! This is Laurenstyle (aka Lauren in CA)<br /><br />I am a true believer of being prepared and you have taken it to such another level! So inspirational. <br /><br />I was in Whole Foods this past weekend (some people go to the club, I prefer Whole Foods) and there was a Vitamix demonstration in full force!!! The presenter made us tortilla soup, smoothies, "ice cream"....it was like I was at ETL Disneyland...I wanted a Vitamix soooooooooo bad. He kept honing in on me to ask his cheezy questions because I was probably way too into it, but whatever. I'm dedicated to this program and this 6 week Vitamix challenge!! I started 9/01 and thusfar, I've dropped 2.8 lbs.
